Got a 2020 Rebel 1500 with 62.5k miles on her does this ticking sound on cold start that goes away after about 30 seconds, sounds like lifters to me. Took it to the dealer and they think it's the exhaust, so they'll fix that first and then check the lifters. Just wondering if anyone else has dealt with this and what the dealership did to fix it? By the way, I've done a fair amount of mechanic work and know the difference between lifter tick and exhaust tick.

yeah, I've absolutely dealt with that exact cold start tick on a Hemi, and it does sound like lifters.

Mine eventually needed the lifters replaced. The exhaust manifold leak is a common misdiagnosis or a secondary issue.
If the exhaust fix doesn't work, don't let them string you along, push them to look deeper at the valvetrain. It's a known thing with these engines

Thank you, this is a huge help. Just to be clear though, you fixed yours by replacing the lifters?
