To switch to coil spring suspension or not?

My 2018 Ram Rebel had some problems with the air suspension for the past couple of weeks. I figured out it was happening because I noticed that the left air bag at the back sags overnight then there was a system warning that suspension was not available due to payload. That kind of triggered the front end to drop into entry-exit mode. So today, I bought it to the dealership where they diagnosed it as a control module problem. Now, I don't know where to find one, and since they told me that I had been searching for hours and hours and there's not a single aftermarket part available online! What should I do? Should I just switch to a coil spring instead? Any links would help as well on where I coild get a replacement please.

here's what i've learned from dealing with ram air suspension issues switching to coil springs is definitely an option but it depends on what you want out of your truck if you tow or haul often air suspension can be nice for leveling loads but it's also expensive and prone to failure especially in colder climates where the lines and bags can develop leaks since you're already dealing with module issues you might end up chasing more problems down the line if you decide to switch there are conversion kits available that include everything you need like new springs shocks and sometimes even a bypass module to prevent system errors a good option would be checking with companies like arnott or strutmasters they offer solid conversion kits that maintain a decent ride quality if you want to keep the air suspension you'll need to track down a replacement control module which can be tricky since availability fluctuates checking salvage yards or specialized mopar parts suppliers might be your best bet

I completely agree with everything that @ServerRoomPaladin404 said and I would lean more towards coil springs. Sure, you'll lose some of the functionality, but you're avoigin many expensive headaches down the line

pretty much @ServerRoomPaladin404 has already said everything, but anyway I recommend you contact your Ram dealership or other specialist who could specifically help you on that otherwise it's gonna be difficult. we cannot really give input in the technical terms because I don't want to be the reason why something bad happens, if any. I'm not an expert, just someone who wants to help.

It's gotta be a control module problem. As diagnosed. What you need to do is change coil springs! Ram parts dealers or other specialized suspension shops can do @SaltDaddy already said it also.

You know how it goes with the classic Rebel air ride issues. If you can get your hands on a control module (part #68245951AC) and replace it, you're in good shape. Check out Mopar parts or eBay for some used options. But honestley, if you're tired of dealing with air leaks and sagging bags, going for a coil conversion kit from Strutmasters or AirDelete is a fantastic, dependable solution. It might be a bit pricey at first, but you'll save yourself a lot of hassle later on. I switched mine over, and it was the best decisoin I ever made.

Yeah, the control module with part number #68245951AC is the exact piece you need. However, if you opt for coil conversions from Strutmasters, you'll permanently avoid any future issues with air suspension.
