Ram Rebel 5.7 Hemi MPG for weekend towing real-world experiences

I'm checking out a used Ram Rebel with the 5.7 Hemi because one just became available nearby at a fair price. My intention is to use it for weekend fishing trips and to tow my small boat. However, I'm a bit worried about the gas mileage, don't want to empty my wallet every time I go to the lake.

Is anyone here using a Rebel for light towing or occasional trips? I'd love to hear what kind of MPG you're getting in mixed driving.

Honestly, yeah? You'll be lucky to see more than 13 to 14 MPG when towing, maybe 17 empty if you go really easy on it. What would you expect from a thirsty truck? Nothing much really but guaranteed it will pull mightily.

For light towing and mixed driving, I usually see around 13–17 MPG, depending on terrain and speed. Towing my small boat drops it closer to 10–12 MPG, but no issues at all
