My AC is never off

is it normal for your air con to be on all the time? I do activate the auto climate feature, though

If you've got the auto climate turned on, the system will kick the AC on automatically, even if you didnt press it. It helps control humidity and keeps the cabin at your set temp more efficiently. You can manually turn the AC off, but it might affect how well the system regulates things, especially on humid days
